![]() Here's a look-at-it link: NoteTab Light - 100% freewareĪnd here's an old review from PCMagazine: NoteTab Light | PCWorld I've used it for over a decade through several editions, and I would never go back to Notepad. You could just abandon all this work and move to a much more feature-rich text editor app that won't mess around with your choices. Oh, one other thing: when you visit those keys, note the font names in them currently. ![]() , DefaultFonts: right-click, Permissions, Advanced button, record the OWNER at the top. Record who the OWNER is at the top of the panel. , Notepad key, right-click, Permissions, Advanced button. Okay, then, here's the last resort before you back up the two keys (Notepad in User and DefaultFonts in Machine) and wipe 'em one at a time, with reboots in between.īefore you do that, please go to the User. Now back up (if you hold the left arrow key down or tap it a bunch of times - either one - you'll collapse all the open keys and get to Computer fast) to Computer and open it to Local Machine, soft, Mic, Notepad, Default fonts, double-click lfFaceName and change the value to Tahoma. ![]() If not, double-click lfFaceName and change the value to Tahoma, and OK. Open regedit and confirm that CURRENT USER, soft, Mic, Notepad shows Tahoma as lfFaceName. Open Notepad and change the font to Tahoma. ![]()
